Offagna

A very small town which is well worth a visit. Offagna has a massive Fortress which dates to the Renaissance period and a very interesting Weapons Museum. In its dominating location just outside the town, this is perhaps one of the best examples of military fortification in Marche Region.

Visitors to this beautifully panoramic town can enjoy the a visit to Mount Pietà and the Church of the Sacred Sacrament by Vanvitelli, as well as to the Luigi Paolucci Museum at Via del Monastero no. 2.

The Paolucci Museum house a part of the finds from the paleontological, mineralogical, zoological and botanical collections to which this naturalist from Ancona dedicated a lifetime of research and study. Unique species which are today extinct help us to understand the development and changes which have occurred in this territory.
